MONDAY. Blood-colored fur is always slightly demented in that it assumes ownership of death. Anything of this quality would be used almost year round to justify its wear for me. With barely there fabric for spring, with a thick-skinned skinny pant and industrial boots for winter. This vintage piece from Hong Kong was such a luxe barrier against the cold, during the promotion shoot for Seattle's annual On My Block fashion show benefiting Dress for Success. Paired with almost naked legs, a dainty heel, and the gaudiest of gold chains against black velvet, I tried my smartest not to look pimpy... Also, I think I'm done with long necklaces due to their tendency to hug one boob. Just, why.
