RUNWAY | Prabal Gurung Fall 2014

MONDAY.  My grandmother might consider it sloppy, but I find the persistence of asymmetrical cuts applaudable. The half-mini/half-midi skirts from Prabal Gurung's Fall 2014 set have my vote, especially as a petite chic who doesn't want to need heels every time I put on a skirt that hits at my knees. And, naturally, I selected most of of his grey looks as my favorites, but he had a healthy dose of reds in there, as well. Whatever the color, his mixing of prints with solids and thick with wispy fabrics under a monochromatic scheme has me a sucker. I kind of just want to grab some material and wrap it around my body with safety pins. Because that's the vibe I get... but in a chic and not school-kid-DIY-attempt sort of way.
